Men: Austria, Colombia, Czech, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, South-Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey

Women: Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Spain, Sweden

Does anyone know, when the group drawing should be held?

Didn’t find it in the rules…

I have no idea when the drawing will be, but we could have some close games already in the preliminary round since Germany for examle is in pot 2 and will therefore maybe have to play against Norway, Sweden or Finland. (Denmark, also in pot 1, shouldn’t be a problem for Germany).

Also Switzerland and Italy being part of pot 2 means, that we will have at least two groups with a real fight for place number 2 and a ticket in the quarter finals since these teams are roughly on the same level as most teams from pot3.

What I find a bit strange is, that being drawn into group C or group D means there is no chance you’re gonna finish 13th or 14th since the game for place 13 is FOUR GROUP A vs. FOUR GROUP B

I would have expected two games between FOUR GROUP A and THREE GROUP C and FOUR GROUP B and THREE GROUP D, the winners playing against THREE GROUP B and THREE GROUP A in games 34 and 35 (currently THREE GROUP A vs. THREE GROUP B and THREE GROUP C vs. THREE GROUP D).

But I guess no one really cares about who is 13th and who is 12th – like Switzerland and Italy both finishing as 7th in Bari 2007 beacuse there was no time for an extra period.

thats what i figured too. And also for Russia it will be 50/50 strong or weak group. And the difference is so high! Thats why i’m interested about the deadlines of the drawring. Does anyone have complete rules for championships? On cmas.org there are some, but without Appendixes.

Denmark, also in pot 1, shouldn’t be a problem for Germany

Ich kann mich da an eine sehr bittere Niederlage erinnern….

Seit ich uwr spiele gab es erst ein Großereignis: die EM in Florenz, und da war Dänemark ja deutlich schwächer als Deutschland. Wann war diese bittere Niederlage denn und wie kam Sie zustande? Ein Sieg von DK über GER würde die vorrunde ja richtig spannend machen und einen Knaller im Viertelfinale ermöglichen :)

In Bari hat Deutschland geben DK verloren und zwar 0:1. Durch diese Niederlage wurden sie „nur“ 5. Das war die letzte WM, bzw damals CAMS World Games 2007.

Okay, also eh der direkte Grund warum Dk in pot 1 und GER in pot 2 sind

If Germany, Denmark and Russia are drawn into the same group, Denmark will play for places 9-12. Since I am very sure!

For years, World- and European Championships moved in time or give to other places.

This is a long-term planning for the participants, organizer at, media and sponsors is not possible.

Here, when people make these broad, UW-rugby will come any further.
