S. Neubert hat heute Details zu dem Becken in Santa Marta de Tormes (6 km außerhalb Salamanca) geschickt. Es entspricht nicht den Erfordernissen, und er fragt daher nach der Meinung der nationalen Verbände. Also wenn ich mir die Bilder und Maße anschaue, muß ich auch sagen, daß es wohl eher nicht geeignet ist für ein hochkarätiges internationales Turnier.

also die Bilder zeigen mir auch ein sehr interessantes Spielfeld?

1) verdammt flach, dürfte auf diesem hohen niveau ein kraft- und körperbetontes spiel werden

–> Verletzungsgefahr

2) wo soll der korb stehen? an der Kannte zur schrägen? oder inmitten des 3,50m tiefen flachen beckengrunds?

Da bleibt ja nicht mehr viel platz um ein spiel über die wandseite aufzuziehen?

bzw überhaupt angriffe über die sichere Wandseite zu spielen!

3) des becken scheint mir nicht so als würde dort regelmäßig uwr gespielt werden…

… sind überhaipt körbe vorhanten, bzw Halterungen im Boden?

Ich persönlich würde dieses Becken nicht spielen!

Bleibt zum abschluss die frage. Wie ist die Regelung wenn mannschaft absagen?

Ist mit einem Veto die WM gelaufen???

Ey jetzt mal echt, es wird doch wohl in der Umgebung ein geeigneteres Becken geben um darin ein WM auszuspielen.

Das gezeigte Becken ist doch wiklich für die Katz…

davon abgesehen, dass das ja schon fast klar war, dass das nichts mehr wird, frag ich mich sowieso warum das jetzt ne WM und keine EM werden sollte. oder werden jetzt nur noch weltmeisterschaften und keine europameisterschaften mehr ausgespielt?

Meines Wissens wurden seit der WM 2007 alle Tauchsportdisziplinen zusammengelegt, seither ist das eine Großveranstaltung, die nur noch als WM ausgetragen wird. Alle zwei Jahre wars geplant.

Es gibt wohl dieses Jahr keine WM. Ziel ist nun 2010 (siehe unten).

Distribute this information to all the responsible Underwater Rugby contacts in your federation.

I am sad to bring this information, but the WC-2009 in UW-Rugby is canceled.

The final decision is taken on the response from the federation about this matter.

The response is, that a majority of the federations cannot accept the pool, because the given pool do not reach the necessary requirement. Second is that the lack of time to arrange another pool in Spain 2009. Therefore we have to cancel the UW-Rugby WC-2009 in Spain, and look for a host to take on the responsibility in the fall 2010.

So I will ask you all in your federations to work for your possibility to arrange the WC-2010 in your country and return with answers to me. The pool should be situated in or near a major city with good international connection.

Spain is off cause still welcome to take on the responsibility in 2010, but we have to point out that pool has to fulfill the necessary minimum requirements (best near the max requirements) and that the pool is situated in or nearby a city with good international connection.

If any of you have any questions don´t hesitate to write.

Finally I have to thank Spain for trying to put together a WC-2009 in UW-Rugby in so short a notice. It could have been good, just sadly that the pool missed.

Wow, das finde ich auch ein tolles Signal, dass es die anderen Disziplinen zustande bringen, nur UWR nicht.

Vielleicht sollte man mal drüber nachdenken, die Ansprüche an die WM-Orga zu senken, wenn keiner bereit/imstande ist, das zu stemmen.

Im Prinzip würde es doch reichen ein Bad zu haben. Unterkunft, Verpflegung, etc. können die Teams doch für sich selbst machen. Ist halt net so komfortabel, aber dann gibt’s vll eher mal ne WM.

Schade für unsere Nationalmannschaften, die gerade einen Lehrgang haben…

Das Hauptproblem ist sicher das Bad. Es muss groß genug sein, und v.a. über mehrere Tage inweg komplett nutzbar (fürs Pooltraining, Einschwimmen, die Spiele sowieso). Logistisch muss eine WM (Damen und Herren!) auch vom Austragungsort gestemmt werden können. Eine Turnhalle und eine großem Wiese zum Zelten reichen sicher nicht aus…

and what about Denmark? i heard they were thinking of organising it too.. there is still time till the fall 2009, not 2010..

Anya, Soren Neubert is from Denmark. He will be surely know the reliability of the Danish offer. And even until fall 2010 is not much time – the host for the 2010 event should be decided soon in order to ensure a well organised WC.
