The President of CMAS who is also in charge of RUF said that UWR is not a real sport, there are not enough regions playing and hence- the tournament can`t have a status of „Championship“

In Austria we are also having a new rule regarding National Championships. In order for a sport to count as a National Championship you need to have 6 teams from at least for different clubs participating over the course of the last three years on average.

And if you loose the status of being a Sport with a National Championship you also loose a lot of funding, so we are trying hard to get a championship with 6 teams going from this year on.
